  10. Can anyone help me with info on setting up an Amiga Wide Area Network. The
  11. furthest node would be about 1 kilometre away. A minimum of 12 nodes would
  12. be great with a max of perhaps 30.

  14. Also part of the requirements would be that it would have to work on a 
  15. 1200
  16. or even a cd32 with/without SX-1 module. Data throughput must be 
  17. reasonable,
  18. approx 150 kb/sec minimum.

  20. I have read about Multi-Net from Amigo Business Computers, something like
  21. this would probably be good as would any peer to peer net that uses serial
  22. port or parallel port.

  24. Does anyone know anything furthur about these topics and could the please
  25. give me some details to contact a developer or sales office?

  27. Another one I have heard of which would be applicable to my needs is the
  28. SCALA INFOCHANNEL NETWORK DRIVER, and apparantly it also works through
  29. serial port/modem (xmodem) and/or parallel port (pmodem?).

  32. But probably the best setrup for me would be a network that used the
  33. external floppy disk connector, as I really want to run nodes as a cd32 
  34. with
  35. sx-1, touchscreen in serial port, and printer in parallel port. The floppy
  36. drive connector would not be required once setup.

  38. I have heard of a network that uses the floppy port but dont know who 
  39. makes
  40. it or any other details.
